A Bavarian restaurant as you would like it to be. In addition to the expensive restaurants in the city center, a welcome, down-to-earth change. From small to large hunger, all wishes are fulfilled. The service turned the entire restaurant into a rustic evening on Sunday evening with a very natural personality.

Had a delicious lunch. When we were told about our next appointment, we were served as quickly as possible.

Outrageous boss and bad food! We strongly advise against eating here. The food: For € 10.90 my friend got 1/4 aubergine and two halved medium-sized potatoes. For this price you should expect that (as a slim woman) you will at least be full. For 11.50 € I got cheese spaetzle, which tasted very bad. It was more of a pulp that I was glad to get rid of. The accompanying small salad was fine. To pay: Our waitress, who only speaks broken German, took our order. The menu says that there is tap water for € 0.50, which we ordered a total of 2 times. We even pointed our fingers at it. When checking the bill (see picture) we noticed that we were suddenly supposed to pay € 4.60 for the water. After we explained to the waitress that we only pay € 1.00 (2 x € 0.50) for the tap water, she got her boss. 2 minutes later came the boss, who snapped at us suddenly and whether we seriously believe that she can run a restaurant if she offers water for only € 0.50. When we explained to her that she offers tap water for € 0.50 on her menu, she wanted to make us believe that we should have tasted the difference to "normal" still water and that we should have reported this. Although we generally drink tap water, we did not notice any difference in taste. The boss did not give in and remained reproachfully unfriendly. Since we weren't willing to pay for her mishap, she asked us if the waitress should then pay the difference out of her own pocket, which we answered in the affirmative. After the waitress came back we explained what the problem was. Then it came out that she doesn't know what tap water means, which we could explain to her in English with "tap water". When paying with a € 50 note, she only gave us € 6.60 change and almost embezzled another € 20 change.

Good food, friendly service and a quiet, clear space in the garden. A typical Bavarian inn the way I love it.

Seldom eaten so bad. Lovelessly arranged plates. Fried potatoes tasteless or not to be defined in terms of taste. Came very close to canteen food. The waiter's mouth and nose mask was almost worn through on the nose, hygienic is different. no plan how many weeks he had the ONE-TIME mask on. I wouldn't eat here again.

The food was really delicious, the prices were okay, but the highlight of the evening was definitely the service staff. Every employee was more than courteous and always looked after our well-being. Always happy to come back.

Typical Bavarian cuisine. The portions were more than adequate. The service was very friendly, which contributed to a cozy atmosphere. The prices are moderate. We went to eat there several times during our vacation. Gladly again.

Large portions, deliciously prepared variety and super friendly staff. Partly processed frozen vegetables and very blunt knives, but the nice ambience and the pleasant atmosphere make up for it! Gladly again.

The food was very, very tasty and fast delivered. But what impressed us the most was the service. All the staff was very friendly and nice and did a very good job. We highly recommend this place for eating in Berchtesgaden! 5 stars plus!

I give it full 5 stars! The best service in a long time! Very, very delicious food, I had cheese spaetzle with salad and Kaiserschmarrn with apple sauce and raisins for dessert. Everything looks very nice, it is super nicely prepared and I really like this rustic and old design Design

First time I've felt the need to write a review. Went looking for a late lunch. Upon arrival, went inside to ask if we can sit outside. Lady says it's no problem. After waiting 15 min outside at a table, I went back inside to ask whether we need to order inside. Was told server will come out. Once he comes out, he says something in what I assume is Bavarian, so I ask for a menu. He just babbles on whilst continuining to ignore us and cleaning other tables. 5 minutes later comes with menus and lectures me in German about how I clearly don't understand Bavarian rules and I should've waited to be seated (so he expected us to wait 15 min in the rain outside to be seated?). Then continues to pick up and move around my mum's stuff instead of asking her politely to remove so he can clean the table. Although the food was nice, I certainly wouldn't recommend going here. We later found a much nicer place for a drink down the road.

Nice pension, very clean and well maintained. Very friendly landlady, delicious breakfast. I really liked the key safe. So we were not bound to any arrival time and could easily take out the key and move into our room. Gladly again.

First post I’ve ever made, I don’t like reviews but felt I had to this time. Been here three times and every time it was bad. Service terrible, food bad and only cash payments. It’s a tourist trap with no locals - for a reason. Seriously go to another restaurant.

Tasty if basic German food, we had the Bavarian speciality dish, it was pretty quiet at about 8pm when we ate. Unfortunately the outside eating area allows smoking (but this is Germany). Weisenbeer was great, service was prompt and friendly, good value.

Absolutely amazing food! Honestly the best German food I’ve had!

Our last evening. What are we going to eat. A friendly lady asks if we want to eat something and immediately we feel at ease. We cannot pay with credit card but only with cash. The lady explains that there are so many extra costs involved and she wants to keep prices low. And that's right too. Large space portions for little money. The service is very good and a friendly chat about the area is not too much for them either. The man tells a hundred about the eagle's nest and what has happened on the mountain. A cozy and excellent restaurant. Really super 👍

Food is a solid 3-4 out of 5 (Got a cordon bleu schnitzel, and a pint of weissbier for approx 18 euros) and good value too, service is good despite the language barrier. Very cosy restaurant despite it being almost full house for dinner!

Had a trip with friends to Berchtesgaden over new year and had 2 evenings here for food. Warm atmosphere and very friendly waitress. The wiener and jager schnitzels were both very tasty and well cooked and the beer was great! Would consider staying here sometime.
